Money Competition

I was reading a blog and came across a post mentioning a competition to win $10 via paypal. I know $10 doesn’t sound like much, but still it intrigued me. It intrigued me enough to follow it up and well write about it here. Well anyway it is not much, but if you have a blog and post about it, you stand a chance of winning the competition. There are a couple prizes and although it is not much, I thought it was a good idea. Good Luck if you decide to participate.

Lightspeed Consumer Panel

Lightspeed Consumer Panel ask for your opinion on what matters.

By signing up, you are automatically entered into a draw for £2,000. Then you have the rewards for filling in surveys and expressing your opinion. It works by your earning points for filling out surveys which you can then change for rewards such as cash, paypal transfers, music downloads, certificates, gift vouchers, etc. There are also mini surveys for which you get entered into another £2,000 draw. These are drawn every three months. If you win, you will be notified by email within 28 days.

To redeem your points you must have a minimum of 115 points. Each point is currently valued at 1 penny. You obviously cannot chose a reward bigger than the amount of points you have, but you can chose a reward and not use all your points.

An important point to note is that points expire after 2 years, so be sure to redeem them before they expire, which personally I do not think is fair especially if you are saving up for something special or a big amount.

They will send you emails when they have surveys for you. They also claim to not give or sell your email address to anyone.

You do need to be 16 plus and live in the Uk to sign up, but if you fulfil those requirements, then it is worth signing up. If you are under 16 ask your mum or dad to sign up and when there are surveys for under 16′s, they will still forward the surveys to you via your parents.

My Search Funds

I found a place where they will actually pay you when you do an online search. They are called My Search Funds. How does it work? Well you can set up a search box on your tool bar and / or you can also set up your home page to be your search page. The choice is yours. Personally I prefer just the tool bar as I just type in what I want to search and viola my search comes up.

You then get paid a percentage of the revenue that My Search Funds earns. So over the last couple of months, I earned £10. It is not much but it is literally from nothing as I was doing the searches anyway before discovering My Search Funds… but now my account keeps getting topped up!!

And when you refer friends, you even earn a commission on what they earn via their searches. How much better can it get?

You can also choose how you get paid. They pay by IBAN, BACS or PAYPAL. Perfect and no effort and all because advertisers care what you think!

We Promise To

We Promise To is not as such concerned with opinion but it has to do with money. If you ever shop online, then you might be interested in being rewarded for your purchases.

We Promise To promise to reward you for shopping. Obviously your opinion on what you buy is your own, but no matter what you think about one shop versus another, We Promise To cover a wide range of shops and stores.

They actually give you every penny that the affiliate pays them. They make money by taking a one time charge of £5 which is taken from your earnings. Anything you earn beyond the first five pounds is yours. You can chose to take your earnings via BACS or Amazon Vouchers. BACS is obviously cash direct to your account but with Amazon, you actually get paid a further 2% on your payout and anything ordered from Amazon will earn you another 2.5%.

You can also refer friends and earn £1 every time they sign up.

Honestly not bad going at all. Just click the link to sign up.

ECN

ECN does both surveys and product sampling. They also give you customised offers. This could be worth it but I am not yet sure about receiving customised offers. Mind you I suppose I could always cancel my subscription or opt out.

And on a good note, by signing up you also get a chance to win a Flat Screen TV.

ACOP

ACOP – American Consumer Opinion Panel will pay you for every survey that you fill.

It does not matter where you live even though they are called “American Consumer Opinion Panel”, they have surveys world wide. It is probably a result of the internet making the world a much smaller place.

Once you sign up, they begin to send you surveys which you fill in. They pay in dollars and the amounts vary from 4$ to 50$ for a survey. Obviously the longer ones are the better paid surveys. The payment is dependant on the length and intensity of the survey. Payment is either made by cheques in your local currency or American Express Gift Cheque is sent. And payment is sent within 4 weeks of doing the survey.

Cash Discount

Tesco really want people to try their clothes. Essentially they are happy to put their money where there mouth is. They think that if you have the opportunity to test their clothes, you will end up with a good opinion of their clothes. So to get people to review their clothes they are giving away£25 worth of coupons for their clothing range. The only draw back is that you sign up to their email list, but you can always opt out. And at £25, it is worth signing up.

Show Shopping

I must say I really do enjoy mystery shopping. It gives me a real thrill. Perhaps it is because I am a bit of a complainer and a perfectionist. Mystery shopping gives me the opportunity to complain when things go wrong and have the complaints go directly to? where things can actually make a difference. What I mean, is that what I believe goes directly to customer service, and technically (and hopefully) it gets seen to and things get better. This makes me feel rather important as it means that my opinion is of paramount importance. It must be, because I also get paid to give my opinion! Imagine getting paid to do what you enjoy!

So, I am always on the look out for other areas to mystery shop or to survey. I am currently really interested in finding out places where they are interested in people to give their opinion on shows. Imagine being given say? Queen tickets and then you give your opinion as a result of those Queen Tickets ! I mean personally, I would do the survey or mystery shopping just for the Queen Tickets but if they want to pay me as well as give me the Queen Tickets? in return for my opinion, I would be really ecstatic!

I am also on the look out for places that would like hotel reviews done. I would even gladly travel to where ever! It would be fantastic if I could combine a show and a hotel stay and get paid for it. Ok, I must admit that perhaps I am being a bit hopeful but well if you don’t dream….

So if you are reading this and know which companies do mystery shopping and surveys for hotels and for the theatre, for shows, for cinemas etc.? do let me know who they are. I want to sign up yesterday!! (Obviously I will review them too and list them on the site also).

Meanwhile, I guess I will just have to do it the old fashioned way and actually buy my tickets to go and see a show. Thank heavens for being able to buy tickets online and having them guarantee that you get your tickets in time for the show… otherwise I am sure I would end up? turning up on the night at the door and be told that the show is sold out!!

Sponsored Reviews

Businesses will do anything to get publicity. They even believe that there is no such thing as bad publicity either. So they will happily pay you to review their website and services. Some do request a positive review only but most are more than happy to pay for any review. You do need a blog to review their services but the money you can generate is quite impressive.

Sponsored review show you what the advertisers are ready to pay and you get a percentage of? the? money – 65% to be exact. The pricing is in dollars and starts from $5 (You get $3.25) but? some? advertisers will even? pay up to a grand for the right blog / review.

You have to bid on an advertiser that you want to review, and they have to approve your blog. Sometimes if they think you want to much for a review (with your blog in mind) they offer you a lower amount. This would then be up to you to accept or counter offer.

You can even refer friends to start giving their opinion and get paid up to $90 for referring them!

The point is that businesses are really ready to pay, and pay good money, for your opinion. So if you have a blog, then it really pays you to sign up with them and start reviewing their advertisers.

{Oh and if you are an advertiser, you can also sign up and get opinionated readers (and reviewers) to review your business!}

Toluna

Toluna is quite widely spread. They are looking for people to test their products and answer surveys from all over the world including Italy, Germany, Greece, Japan and the UK obviously!

You get to test brand name products (past products include Smarties, Nivea, Lipton, Panini Stickers? and Sanex), you can collect points to exchange for places like Amazon and you can be entered into their? £1000 – thousand pound? monthly draw. Though, what I do like best is getting to test real products for Free! All they want in return is your opinion of the product. Worth signing up to in my opinion.
